If you send me something I can use, I'll return it in the same condition I got it. I live in London now, but don't let that deter you!

A Note on CopyRight (c) and Intellectual Property

  • The vast majority of the original postcards are so old (mostly about 100 years old) as to be out of copyright. If you believe one of the images on this site is still under copyright protection, and you are the rights holder, then please contact me and I'll do my best to rectify the situation.

 

  • However, the images I have scanned have been cropped, retouched, re-coloured, and had the contrast or light balance adjusted to improve them, and constitute new works in their own right, of which I am the copyright holder. (This excludes any case where the original image is still under copyright control.) Therefore you may not copy these images for any purpose without my permission. If you ask nicely - as some people have done - I might let you use an image, if you don't, well...

 

  • At the moment, I don't sell or licence any of the images in ay way, and the site is a non-commercial venture. This may change in the future, but for now it's strictly non-profit.
