c1930: Picturesque view of the church-end of Oughterard village.

c1950: Similar view, only with slightly more foliage.

c1930: Dog taking itself for a walk on a quiet road.

c1950: Familiar view of the bridge. The church is on the opposite bank out of sight to the right.

c1950: Simple image of the falls.

c1920: A much clearer (and colourised) image of the falls.

c1955: Aughnanure castle on the outskirts of the village.

c1940: I'm sure tourists lapped up this sort of postcard.

c1950: Not the most aesthetically pleasing composition in this card, but a good record of the church structure itself.

c1960: The ubiquitous telegraph poles spoil an otherwise pleasing view.

c1915: The army barracks ("camp") was at the end of the street towards the lake.

c1935: Fabulous aerial view of the village. Most of the green space is now developed.
(My great-grandfather owned a forge on Camp St running off to the right.)

1962: Oldchapel area of Oughterard.

c1950: Currevaragh, by the lake.
